New Castle County Head Start, Inc. Serves Pregnant Women and Children Ages Birth to 3 Years through Early Head Start

(Newark, Del.) Beginning September 2016, New Castle County Head Start, Inc. (NCCHS) offers Early Head Start services for pregnant women and children birth to 3 years from income eligible families. The new program, funded by a grant from the Federal Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, provides weekly child-focused home visits by NCCHS staff to promote the parents' ability to support the child's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. In addition, NCCHS offers frequent socialization opportunities for parents and children to meet as a group.
