New Castle County Head Start, Inc. Holds End of Year Celebrations

(Newark, Del.) New Castle County Head Start, Inc. marks the end of the school year with celebrations for students and parents at each Head Start center. The celebrations feature games, crafts, activities and special guests.

Rose Hill and Lambson centers welcomed special guests from the Delaware State Fire School. Instructors Don Brown and Chris Murtha led a fun fire safety activity for students and parents. Special guests from New Castle County Police Department Community Services Unit and Mounted Patrol Unit also attended the Rose Hill and Lambson celebrations to speak with students and parents.

New Castle County Police Department Mounted Patrol Unit Officer Erich Selhorst, Officer Maura Schultz and Corporal Bill Brown introduce horses Commander, Big Red and Elvis to Head Start students who enjoyed giving the horses a friendly pat.

New Castle County Head Start, Inc. Marshallton Center celebrates Head Start’s 50th Anniversary with a special cake at the center’s end of the year celebration in May.
