(Wilmington, Del.) New Castle County Head Start, Inc. announces the election of four new members to its Board of Directors: Eric DeFeo, Faith Mwaura, Michael Mood, and Holly Yoder. Each member will serve a 3 year term beginning June 1 , 2013.
The new members bring wide-ranging nonprofit, financial, government and education experience to New Castle County Head Start, Inc’s board:
Eric DeFeo, PMP is senior director at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies based in Philadelphia, Pa. DeFeo has over 18 years of direct insurance industry experience, 10 of which focus on IT and analysis. He is a graduate of Widner University and hold numerous professional certifications including Six Sigma, Project Management, Senior Business Analyst and Executive Leadership.
Faith Mwaura is a social services administrator at the Department of Health and Social Services, Division of State Service Centers, State of Delaware. She has over 15 years of experience with planning, designing and implementing nonprofit, state and federal programs. Ms. Mwaura is a recent board member of National Association for State Community Service Programs and is a member of Delaware Federation of Housing Counselors. She received degrees in education and urban affairs & public policy with a focus on nonprofit leadership and community development from Wisconsin Lutheran College and University of Delaware respectively.
Michael Mood, CPA, CGMA is owner of LDM Accounting Services, LLC providing accounting services to nonprofit organizations, government agencies, small businesses and individuals. He has 10 years of accounting experience with detailed knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS and other statutory requirements related to accounting. Mr. Mood is a graduate of Goldey-Beacom College.
Holly Yoder is an administrator and educator with over 12 year of experience in early childhood education. She is a past program coordinator, education coordinator and teacher at New Castle County Head Start, Inc. She has significant experience with project management, workshop facilitation, service plan development, grant writing and budget management in early childhood education programs. Ms. Yoder is a graduate of University of Delaware and Wilmington College.
